Although most people think we met in Washington since we both grew up there, we met at Aaron's Dive Shop in October 2019 while Jake was a scuba instructor as well as a student at the University of Hawaii at Manoa and Kaeley was looking to get divemaster experience and eventually get her scuba instructor certification.

From the beginning, we both hit it off really well and spent a lot of time together as neither one of us had many friends after recently moving to Oahu. Over the course of about 3 months, we grew closer and closer together until eventually we started dating. Our mutual love for the ocean was apparent as you could always find both of us in the ocean either scuba diving, free diving, or surfing.

Over the years, we have enjoyed spending our free time either free diving at Electric Beach, surfing around the island, and hiking with our friends as well as spending our time at the beach. We have accumulated a grand total of 7 pets which consist of 2 dogs (Nalu and Opihi) and 5 cats (Musubi, Haupia, Clementine, Cutie, and Gremlin). We live in Kailua now about a 5 minute drive from the welcome party venue.
